UK Approves COVID-19 Vaccine

web media sources: UK Approves Covid-19 Vaccine. United Kingdom becomes first country to approve Pfizer and BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine. The first COVID-19 patient registered for clinical trial at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
After experiencing a large number of clinical trials, the vaccine developed by Pfizer and BioNTech a Germany based company has been regularized for emergency use. BionTech and Pfizer said that dose of vaccine uses novel mRNA Technology and it will be delivered to the United Kingdom in few days as and when Britain’s Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) gave go ahead.

Data released from these companies reveals that in Phase III trial, 43000 people were involved for trial. The vaccine is 95% effective to prevent the Corona Virus.
According to British government spokesperson: “The vaccine will be delivered through the country from next week to prevent the disease in U.K.

China and Russia are two other countries to approve COVID-19 vaccines for early or limited use. China and Russia authorized the vaccine shots without seeking the results of Phase 3 trials. According to some experts both these countries are facing criticism  for their risky process.

Britain becomes the first country to have an agreement with BioNTech and Pfizer for the supply of Covid-19 vaccines and ordered 30 million doses of vaccines in the month of July and out of which 10% is expected to be available in this year.

Pfizers‘s sites in Puurs, Belgium will produce much of UKs  and BioNTech in Germany will also produce some of supply.
