PM Pakistan Imran Khan launched Naya Pakistan Housing Programme. The PM aimed to build five million low-cost housing schemes all over the country. The PM Pakistan whispered in his tweet that we have launched our most extensive project of building 5 m houses in 5 years. This will entertain to low budget families. This will create job opportunity as almost 40 business stakeholders will be involved directly in this project. “While address to the introduction ceremony of Housing Project in the PM office, the PM said the government will make available land and other facilities. Under the administration of government, the private stakeholders will facilitate with basic needs”.
Moreover, PM Pakistan said this project is for those who are living hand to mouth and even cannot visualize to buy their own property. He said that data of the land positions are being collected by the government. Soon, the land will be handed over to the private stakeholders. Furthermore, he explained a task force named (MPHA) has been devised to oversee the project details. The Taskforce will consist of eight members from private sector 5 members from the government including NADRA chairman and while other political members as well. A one-window operation will be formalized in urban and rural areas. Concerned officials will coordinate with local and provincial government authorities. He said the all international models, high rise buildings will be measured with whole essential facilities. At the time of the briefing, he announced the project at the initial level in seven districts which are Faisalabad, Sukkur, Quetta, Islamabad, Muzaffarabad, Gilgit, D.I.Khan. First beneficial will be the Federal Government employees from BS- 01 to BS-16. Preference should be given to those who don’t have shelter for their self. The PM said other provinces would follow the same trend devised by the Federal Government. PM Pakistan expressed that construction business is very important to country’s economy for revitalizing trade and industry activity and employment generation.
