Print Spooler Service not running is a frequent trouble that arises to your computer screen when you try to print a document, snaps, maps, etc.

First of all, I would like to explain the function of Print Spooler Service on a computer. Basically, Spooler is a dedicated memory on your computer’s hard drive that sends your print request directly without affecting any other program running on the computer.

Here I would like to suggest a solution to problem Print Spooler in few steps with the help of images so as to enable you to solve this problem. Following are the steps to eradicate the situation “Print Spool Service not Running”:

Click on the Start Button on the left lower corner of your computer screen and open Control Panel. Now click Administrative tool as shown in the below image:

Click on the Administrative Tool and pop up will appear on your computer screen. double click on Services

A following window/ dialog box will open on your computer screen:

Select Print Spooler and Right Click on it click Start to start Print Spooler Service. Or Double Click the Print Spooler and a new dialog box will appear on your screen. Click on General Tab and Click on the Start Button if it is stopped.  See below:

Now restart your Computer and Print Spooler Service not running issue will be resolved.

  1. Click on Start Button of your computer and type CMD in the Search/ Run Box.
  2. In the Run box type “msconfig” and press enter.
  3. A new window will open on your screen and in this window select Service and find Print Spooler.
  4. Now you have to enable this service by applying check in the checkbox. See below:
